  1. I was hiking in the area when these burn piles were being ignited. The plumes generated were very large and smoke quickly filled the area south of Dale Creek Canyon due to strong, gusty winds around noon. Even more concerning, there was one person up there setting/managing 7 burn piles without access to water. I thought Timber Works was more responsible than this…

    • That is really interesting and disconcerting. I agree, I would expect them to be more responsible in their burning activity. How big were the piles? Thanks for the information too.
